Digital Project 2: Lifestreaming
1) Gimme All the Social Media
As we’ll learn, social media sites like Twitter and Facebook rank highly in Google searches. The same goes for About.me, which is why you first created a profile there. Because we want Google to find (the best of) us quickly, we need to be a part of ALL of the major social media networks, at least in theory.
This week, if you haven’t already, please sign up for these seven social media networks and create your profiles in accordance with our reading “How to Optimize Your Profile”:

After reading/skimming our reading “Lifestreaming,” discuss your current online identity and how it has been constructed by you or for you. What is the “whole [of you] that is larger than the sum of its parts,” as our reading might ask (206)? Be sure to cite relevant ideas from “Lifestreaming” as you analyze your online identity.
